Seelig Story

Our Mission:

To serve the needs of the specialized interests of the custom car and motorcycle painters, the pinstripers, lettering artists, gold leafers, and air brush artists with some of the hard to find first quality brushes, custom paints, flakes, pearls, candies, gold leaf supplies, air brushes, and how to do it books. Also body shop tools and equipment.

Sid Moses started to sell supplies and air tools to body shops in 1972. This evolved into pearls when one body shop in El Paso Texas asked if he could supply some lead based Murano pearl that they were told was not available. Needless to say he found that the supply of Murano pearl was available in any quantity as requested. This started a search for more custom automotive painters, and the start of a mail order business. A short time later Hot Rod Magazine did an article on the products that Sid was selling on the telephone and by mail order. A few years later the Seelig company (a friendly competitor) was purchased and merged into the present company.

Sid Moses (Seelig) is now employing three part time employees. Randy Bosco does most of the shipping and receiving. Haig Krekorian does some of the same and sends out most of the literature packages. Kevin Bruce helps out with a little bit of everything, and handles alot of the computer and e-bay work. The company has been in the same location since 1972. Personal service is the main objective along with providing in some cases supplies that are not usually available from local suppliers at competitive prices.

Our office hours are usually from 8:30 am to 1:pm for visitors to come to visit - please call first for an appointment. Telephone orders can be accepted between 8:am and 8:pm California time 7 days a week. Faxes are acceptable 24 hours.
